What is a Rolling Tower?

A Rolling Tower is a mobile working platform assembled from individual components. By stacking frames, the height can be easily adjusted to suit the work requirements. Unlike standard fixed scaffolding, rolling towers come equipped with casters as standard, making them exceptionally convenient as they can be easily pushed by hand to new work locations even after assembly.

Rolling Towers have a working platform height of approximately 1m to 9m, enabling work up to heights equivalent to the 2nd or 3rd floor of a building. They are available in steel and aluminum, with specifications such as standard types and internal staircase types.

Please note that assembling Rolling Towers requires completion of the "Special Education Course on Scaffold Assembly." For heights of 5 meters or more, a "Scaffold Operations Chief" qualification is also required. For details, please refer to the related article below.

Applications

Rolling Towers are widely used for high-level work that requires mobility, such as setting up and decorating event venues, interior finishing work in commercial facilities, and ceiling and wall construction on renovation sites.

The required specifications vary depending on site conditions. For example, in equipment and interior finishing work that demands a wide working space, the basic "standard type" is frequently used. On the other hand, at sites with frequent vertical movement and strict safety standards, the "internal staircase type" may be considered to help reduce the physical burden on workers and mitigate fall risks.

Among the various available specifications, aluminum Rolling Towers have seen a growing demand in recent years. Because they are lightweight and easy to assemble, they can be set up smoothly even in facilities with restricted access or on complex jobsites with uneven surfaces. Furthermore, by utilizing the connection specifications exclusive to aluminum models, it is possible to cover long horizontal work areas all at once, leading to an increasing number of cases where large-scale renovation work is significantly streamlined.

This ability to flexibly adapt to the varying conditions of each work site is undoubtedly one of the reasons why aluminum Rolling Towers are so widely used.
